Welcome to the Bayfield Safe Harbour Run website. 2009 was our inaugural year and we had over 200 runners come to race and support the Huron Women’s Shelter. This is your invitation to join us in 2010 for more “fun in the sun”. This year we will again offer a Kiddy Trot, a 2k fun run/walk and the competitive 5k run (see route maps here). All running events start and finish in the centre of the village in Bayfield’s Clan Gregor Square. Registration begins at 7:30 am in the Community Centre/Arena which is located two blocks from the start line at 5 Jane Street.
After all runners return, be sure to stay for the awards ceremony and door prize draws also at the Community Centre. Come run Bayfield in the morning and stay for the day to enjoy lunch, shopping and of course the beach. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday June 13th.

The run is Sunday June 13th, the Teddy Bear run begins at 8:50 am, the 2k at 9:00 and the 5k at 9:30. Be sure to register by May 31 to avoid late registration fees. For adults the 5k is $20 and for students $15. The 2k is $15 for adults and $10 for students. The kiddy trot is $5 the day of the race
hi, Lynn: Congratulations on a wonderful 5K yesterday. I hadn’t run in Bayfield before, and yesterday won’t have been my last time. Thank you for all of the hard work and organization; there’s so much more to these events than most people imagine, and I can say this with some authority as I coached at G.D.C.I. for nearly three decades.
