Race Day Information

Hello Runners:

There is  approximately a week to go before the Safe Harbour Run in Bayfield this Sunday  - here is some last minute race information.

The first 250 runners to register receive a technical running T-shirt sponsored by:  BAYFIELD GENERAL STORE, CLINTON RACEWAY, THE SPA IN BAYFIELD and PAQUETTE FINANCIAL SERVICES/DUNDEE WEALTH

Registration and Parking:

Registration opens at 7:30 am in the Bayfield Arena on Jane Street.   http://www.arenamaps.com/arenas/1812.htm It is best to park near the arena and walk the two blocks to the start line in Clan Gregor Square.  There are washrooms at the Bayfield arena and this year we will have 2 porta-potties near the start line.

Race Times:

The 2k race will begin at 9:00 am at the Gazebo on the South Side of Clan Gregor Square.  The 5k race begins at 9:30 on the north side of the square just west of Louisa Street.  To view a map of both routes visit http://safeharbourrun.ca/general-run-information/course-routes-maps/ After your race you will receive an individual bottle of water and there will be  light refreshments provided by United Communities Credit Union.  Look for their banners to find the food table.

Awards Presentation:

The awards presentation will be back in the arena after the conclusion of all the races. Be sure to stop back to congratulate the winners and see if you won a door prize courtesy of local businesses.

Kiddy Trot:

Once again we will be having a Kiddy Trot for the youngest of runners.  Parents can register little ones the day of the race.   They will start on the north side of Clan Gregor Square at 8:50 am and run approximately 300m to the finish line clock where everyone receives a medal.
